How do you make an impact⦠when you need to teach something once, but explain it 50 times?
Last week a coach I work with sent the same Google Classroom walkthrough to four different teachers β by email, one at a time. Each reply came back with a follow-up question. By Friday she had spent more time explaining the tool than it would have taken to teach the class herself.
I told her: "Record it once. Share the link. Let the video do the repeating."
She opened Google Vids, hit record, talked for six minutes, and posted it to her staff hub. Three teachers watched it that afternoon. Zero follow-up emails.
The 3-minute move (use this workflow)
Next time you catch yourself re-explaining something:
Open Google Vids and start a new video.
Outline 3 bullets β what will they be able to do after watching?
Hit record β screen + voice, one take, no editing.
Turn on auto-captions and share the link where they already look (Classroom, email, staff hub).
That is it. Fifteen minutes, and the video answers questions for you from now on.
Sentence 1 must summarize the core theme or pain point of this week's newsletter. Sentence 2 must be a direct, open-ended question asking about their personal experience, classroom practice, or opinion on that specific topic.
